We met at First Baptist Church in Gautier, MS. We were four years old, and I was the only girl in a Sunday school room full of boys. We were both raised in this church and became really close through youth group. As the years flew by and we continued to grow, so did our connection. We started dating our senior year of high school and then both decided to attend the University of Mississippi to pursue our degrees. During our time at Ole Miss, we chased God even more and centered him in our relationship. We are so thankful for the friends and family that have supported us throughout our relationship and encouraged us to grow even more.

Savannah’s Perspective: Joshua took me back to the spot where this all began. On August 22, 2015, he asked me to be his girlfriend in front of the water in Ocean Springs. On July 25, 2022, he asked me to be his wife. He built two posts with pictures and lights on them. It was so special to see how our love has grown through the years and how we grew together in so many ways. Looking out at the water and seeing him on one knee was the most magical moment for me. Joshua’s Perspective: I was nervous for this day because I wanted it to be special for her. I had an entire speech in my head, but when I saw her, I forgot everything. Savannah looked so beautiful, and I lost track of what I was saying. I was eager to get to the point to make it official. As the great Bey once said, “If you like it, put a ring on it.” I sure did.
