Question

How should I arrive to North Star Gatherings?

Answer

North Star Gatherings is in a remote location at the top of a mountain. We have been told by the venue owner that Lyft and Uber are potentially unreliable without any confirmation either way. If you do not have a way to drive yourself or carpool with other guests, please reach out to us immediately.

Question

It's on a mountain?

Answer

Yes! North Star Gatherings is located in the Rocky Mountains at 8941 feet. Stay hydrated! Do not over exert yourself, at altitude sickness is easy to succumb to! Don't forget to bring a coat. Even if the day is nice or Denver feels warm, the night will get chilly up there. Current forecasts are showing wind and potentially snow by late night.

Question

How will this socially distanced wedding be different than a normal wedding?

Answer

Our Ceremony and Reception will have different levels of social distancing implemented. We ask that you review both and let us know if you prefer to only join us for only the Reception, which will have more distance but will be indoors. Our socially distanced wedding includes seating plans with respect to social distancing preferences, masks , and a reliance on guests to maintain distance when using public shared space.

Question

What will social distancing look like at the ceremony?

Answer

Due to the ceremony deck having less space than the venue interior, 6 feet cannot be maintained between all family and friend groupings, but the ceremony deck is outdoors.

Question

What will social distancing look like at the reception?

Answer

1 - Guests are expected to wear a mask anytime they are away from their seat. 2 - Guests will be seated as communicated on the RSVP card with all groupings 6 feet apart. 3- Guests should maintain 6 feet of distance when in line for dinner or drinks. 4 - All guests are expected to maintain 6 feet of distance unless otherwise agreed upon with other guests. 5 - There will be no dance floor. Dancing can be done near you seat, but games and activities will be provided at each table as alternative entertainment for the evening. PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL OF EVERYONE'S 6 FEET OF DISTANCE. BE CERTAIN BOTH PARTIES HAVE AGREED TO BREAK THE 6 FEET OF DISTANCE BEFORE APPROACHING ANYONE YOU ARE NOT SEATED WITH.

Question

What if I feel sick before the wedding?

Answer

If you have any symptoms of COVID-19 or have come into contact with anyone who exhibits symptoms of COVID-19 within 2 weeks of the wedding, we ask that you DO NOT attend our wedding. We love every guest very much and we will miss the presence of anyone who cannot attend, but we would much rather keep everyone safe and healthy. Please let us know if you need to revoke your attendance so we can add you to our Facebook group where we will stream our ceremony live and so that we can make any adjustments. You can also follow our special wedding Instagram account where we will be posting pictures and short videos throughout the day and evening!

Question

Where is the registry?

Answer

Our house is as full as our hearts! Please no gifts. Instead we ask that you honor our love by making a donation to one of the organizations close to our hearts. 1) CarbonFund.org 2) Happy Animals Club 3) SeriousFun Children's Network

Question

What are the virtual audience options?

Answer

If you choose the virtual audience option on your RSVP card, your Facebook profile will be added to a Facebook list that will be used to send out a Facebook Live stream as the ceremony is starting. We also encourage virtual attendees with an Instagram account to follow our wedding specific, private Instagram account, LisaSandPatrick, where we will be posting pictures and videos throughout the weekend.

Question

Can I bring a friend?

Answer

We ask that all guests please respect the traditional wedding etiquette of only bringing a friend if noted on your invitation. We have foregone many additional guests in order to be able to maintain distance at our wedding and ensure the safety of all guests. Please reach out to us if you feel very strongly about enjoying our wedding day with a special someone.
