Our Story
Hannah and Tyler first met in 2018 at Institute, a church camp held on Baker’s campus in Baldwin City. Tyler lived in Topeka and Hannah in Shawnee. Despite being separated by an hour of I-70, they fell for each other quickly. While finishing high school they made the distance work and grew together before college.
They spent the next four years at K-State, where Hannah earned her degree in music education and Tyler studied accounting. Their time was filled with marching band, late nights with friends, and supporting one another through busy seasons—especially Hannah’s weekends on duty as an RA. After graduation, Tyler stayed at K-State to complete his Master of Accountancy while Hannah began student teaching and her first year at Ottawa High School.
In January 2025, Tyler proposed at the scenic overlook on Highway 177 on the way to Manhattan. Best. Day. Ever. Now living in Lawrence, they are excited to be married and even more excited to celebrate with the people they love most.
