Decatur Square
The Square is the historic heart of the downtown and is centered around the old DeKalb County courthouse. This 15-block walkable district includes dozens of unique retailers and 45+ local restaurants.
Ponce City Market
This is a great place to walk on the belt line / grab a bite or a drink. They also have shopping and a yoga studio!
Atlanta Botanical Garden
The Atlanta Botanical Garden is a 30 acres botanical garden located adjacent to Piedmont Park in Midtown Atlanta.
Stone Mountain
Alex grew up 5 min from here. The park costs $20 for parking, but has plenty of trails, and for the out-of-towners, a nice view at the top of the mountain. It is about 15-20 min from downtown Decatur, so a car is needed to visit!
Georgia Aquarium
It exhibits hundreds of species and thousands of animals across its seven major galleries, all of which reside in more than 11 million US gallons of water. The Georgia Aquarium remains the largest aquarium in the United States and the third largest in the world.
