Flying to Florence
There are many connecting flights through the major European cities that land directly into Florence airport (FLR). The alternative to a flight connection would be to take a train from a major Italian city such as Rome or Milan to the Florence (Santa Maria Novella) train station. Jordan & Sam are flying Delta direct to Rome.

Getting around Florence
Once you arrive in the Florence, get your walking shoes on! The downtown area itself is small and the historic streets wind left and right so traffic moves quite slowly. Unfortunately, there is no Uber like service currently available. The best taxi website is http://www.4390.it/en/ In Italy taxis cannot be flagged down as they pass you along the street! Taxis are instead "stationed" at special taxi parking stands in most of the major squares in any city and at the airport and they can be requested by phone. In Florence, the numbers for calling a taxi are: 055.4242 / 055.4390 / 055.4798 / 055.4499 For wedding events, transportation will be provided.
