Our story began overseas when we met studying abroad in one of the most amazing cities in the world - Florence, Italy. Both of us lived with roommates in the same apartment building - girls on the top floor and the boys below us. Naturally we all started to hang out and became a big group of friends that explored everything Florence had to offer on weekdays and spent most weekends visiting new cities and countries. Pretty casual, right? On one of those weekend trips we were on a wine tour in Verona when Mike asked if I wanted to take a picture. It was a surprise at first but quickly followed by more excitement than I realized I had for my friend Mike. Shortly thereafter, we found ourselves spending more time together with just the two of us grabbing a quick bite to eat (most likely a panini from "Mom's" downstairs), or going out for a walk to get gelato or venturing off together while on trips exploring different cities. Yes, I dropped the french fries in Galaway and it broke Mike's heart. Florence will always hold a very special place in our hearts. But, when it was eventually time to leave this amazing city, we were lucky enough to both call Massachusetts home. It didn't take long for us to see each other again in the States at which point we made things official! And the rest is history... :)
