After eyeing each other at school for some months, Suin finally asked Stacy out on December 12, 2009. They went through it all: the freshmen 15, the sophomore 'should I change my major' mental breakdown, the junior MCAT studies, and senior senioritis. Undergrad was the easy part, as they come to find out. As medical school started for Suin, Stacy's new adventure as a full time adult started as well. Luckily, they were separated only by an hour of 'long distance' and were able to see each other every weekend throughout the 4 years Suin was in medical school. Suin graduated medical school 2017 and asked Stacy to move in with him as he was matched to a program in Lubbock, Texas. She willfully agreed, packed up, and moved across Texas with Suin. Within a year, he got rematched into anesthesiology in Massachusetts where they packed up again and moved to live happily at for the next 3 years until his residency graduation in 2021. Soon after though, Suin signed for a job in Houston and moved back to Texas to settle with Stacy in a house they can finally call home.
Having been together for such a long time, Stacy's idea of the 'perfect' proposal kept changing and after nearly 12 years, her mind was set on a naturally simple and intimate proposal, but as she is a person who catches onto things (too) quickly, she requested the proposal to be 100% a surprise. As challenging as this is, Suin set up a private photographer to capture the moment at Discovery Green in central Downtown Houston on a beautiful late afternoon. As they were walking around central Discovery Green, Stacy walking in front of Suin, realized how cold and clammy his hands were! As she turned around to ask what was wrong, he got down on one knee, told her how much he loved and appreciated her, and asked her to marry him.
