I was doing my clinical rotation at Lansing High School. I was working with the athletic trainer and helping her cover sports. One sport we covered the most ended up being football. Brad is one of the coaches for the football team, but never really talked to him just kinda knew him as the really LOUD coach.... I know Brad being loud... sounds nothing like him. I remember the first conversation that we had was about his tattoos. His back was to us and I was saw that he had a "B" and a "G" on the back of his arms, so I asked him what they stand for. And he said something to the effect of "They are my initials, I also have my last name tattooed on my back.... just incase I forget" He smiled so big and I just stared at him like, "what an idiot".... Little did I know he would become my idiot!
I gave Brad 3 Rules if he ever wanted to propose; 1. Ask my Father: I know its hard because my dad lives in Canada but it just has to be done; 2. No Holidays!: that is was to cliché for me; and 3. My nails!!! I know sounds like a lot but it was just something I always knew had to happen in order for the "big question". Brad was so sweet, he got his mom to take pictures of us. (So glad she was able to be apart of the moment) We went to a couple of places to take pictures and then finished at this bridge in front of a beautiful water fall. He finally got down on his knee, said some nice things, and then asked me to marry him. We are so excited to share this next chapter of our lives with you!! See you in July!
