Miki-Ann is the cousin of the Bride, and as the older one by 4 years, is obviously the cooler of the two. Miki and Sara grew up down the street from each other, and spent many years hanging out, getting into trouble, and are now the Maid/Matron of Honor in each other's weddings. Miki will also be getting married in July, 2 weeks prior to Chris and Sara. Miki is an awesome teacher who is about to complete her 11th year as an educator, and she has a special talent for making world-famous stuffed mushrooms.
Matthew Sugidono

Matt has always been super jealous of his bigger, more handsome brother, but still loves him anyways. Whether it's getting destroyed in Marvel vs. Capcom or schooled in Candy Land, Matt strives to be like Chris, AKA "The REAL Sugi." Matt currently lives in California and is studying Pharmacy at the University of California, San Francisco. Chris looks out for his baby bro and even gave his beloved car to him to drive in San Francisco, which Matt has...more or less taken care of. Despite his younger brother being a copycat and stealing all of his toys growing up, Chris loves his brother and can't wait to see him on the big day!
Rie Ganir

Rie and Sara met many moons ago at a Bible study and have been friends ever since. Sara was initially very intimidated by Rie's seriousness, but later found out that Rie was the funniest, kindest, and most talented friend ever. They share a love for all things makeup and Sephora, as well as a certain sense of dry, sarcastic humor. Rie is an amazing ER nurse, who once saved a life at Sara's birthday dinner (this really truly happened, folks). In her spare time, she can be found playing with her beloved doggie, Ellie, making amazing jewelry (which Sara has been a lucky recipient of over the years), and dreaming of adopting every single dog at the Kahului H.A.R.F. every Saturday.
Jon Asato

In a strange twist of events, Chris actually knew Jon before Sara. Jon played basketball for Chris' father in elementary school and was teammates with his brother. Jon's dad also was an ASSISTANT COACH for Chris' father and even Chris himself helped at practices from time to time. Small world huh? When Chris met Sara at the gym (technically the second time they met but that's a long story for another time), he actually name dropped her brother to get her attention: "Hey aren't you Jon's sister?" Those are words Sara never lets Chris forget. Anyways, Chris is excited to have Jon as a brother and is looking forward to spending many hours watching movies, playing video games and doing dumb stuff for the rest of their lives.
Marci Takemoto

Marci and Sara have been friends for almost twenty years. They first became friends in elementary school, where Marci graciously helped Sara through 5th grade science. The two were a perfect example of exact opposites: Left brain (Marci), and Right brain (Sara.) Marci, always the studious one, and Sara who was a little less...regimented in her studies. Despite the difference in personality, Marci and Sara found a comfortable and easy friendship in being opposites and balances to each other. Marci currently resides on the island of Oahu and is in the medical field. She is a fearless traveler, who also enjoys a good television series, when she has the spare time. Also, ask her about the time when Sara and friends Saran wrapped her car.....with her in it.....driving home from school.

The man, the myth, the legend. Josh and Chris have been tight ever since the latter came to God's House for dis chick he stay marrying brah (Love you Sara 😘). Whether it's balling, gaming or speaking dat gospel, the two have grown to be homies 4 lyfe and look out for one another. Josh has been there for Chris when things were rough and is one of his closest friends despite their short time knowing each other. They're like Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady...if they stayed together and won three titles.
Nicole Sato

Sara met Nicole in a Kung Fu class. A very very little known fact. However, full-blown friendship did not begin until the same time that Sara met Rie. Both Nicole and Rie were at the same Bible study. Needless to say, since that fateful meeting, the 3 have formed a tight-knit, and at times long-distance friendship that spans nearly 10 years. Nicole and Sara share a similar humor and relish the fact that there is only a one letter difference in their last names. They pretend to be sisters with each other and with Rie, and once, were so successful in their ruse, that an unassuming and very kind-hearted saleswoman at The Walking Company legitimately believed they were blood kin. (We love you, Patricia!)

HELLO LADIES. Have you met my friend Josh? He's single...and ready to mingle. Josh is LITERALLY the nicest guy in the world. Just ask his cousin Chris, who had no friends when he moved to Maui until Josh swooped in like a BOSS. When he's not studying to be revolutionary lawyer, Josh is sculpting his body, feeding children in Africa and caring for the homeless all before bedtime. Josh is a family man who has a genuine heart for people and animals. He hopes to start a family of his own some day with that special woman, who is looking for a loyal, strong and dependable man. Who knows, maybe he'll meet her soon...
Tara Matsumura

Tara is Sara's twin. Both tall, both Asian, both names ending in "ara." Sara met Tara in a drawing class in college. Throughout the years, the two grew to be like sisters. So much so that people would confuse them for the other, as evidenced by the time that Tara walked into the campus Jamba Juice only to be greeted by the cashier with an enthusiastic "HEY SARA!" Tara resides on the island of Oahu and is in the estate planning field. The two have shared many laughs over the years including Tara's home at platform 9 3/4, marriage proposals at bus stops and Burger Kings, and renaming their friend Chad to "Chara" to fit in with their names. Tara is a gifted artist with a sophisticated taste in music, a fearless spirit of adventure, and an impressive culinary prowess.
TJ Booth

Where do we start? TJ has driven Chris crazy for about 99.99% of the time they have known each other, but that's what we call true love. The bros argue over Madden, Halo and just about everything you can do as a team so it's a miracle they've stayed alive this long. TJ has been a loyal buddy to Chris and the two immediately connected when they met at God's House. He even found Chris' wallet in his car and didn't take any money from it! Chris hopes TJ will get married soon too so they can raise their kids together and form a sports team together. (Note from the Editor: Don't hold your breath for kids anytime soon, Chris.)
