What is the menu?

Answer

All meals will be served with bread, lavash and butter and the end of the meal will include coffee and tea. Wine will be provided on the table. Vegetarian: Roasted Squash Soup with Spiced Crème Fraiche. Grilled Marinated Portabella Mushroom with Asparagus, Grilled Peppers and Wild Rice Pilaf. Crème Brule with Berries. Beef: Chicken, Shiitake, Coconut and Lemongrass Soup. Aged Angus Sirloin with Cabernet Jus, Grilled Zucchini, Broccolini and Wild Rice Pilaf. Chocolate Pate with Crème Anglaise. Kids Menu: Macaroni and Cheese. Vanilla Ice Cream with Chocolate Sauce.

Yes, the hotel has indicated they are more than able to accommodate any dietary restriction. Please ensure you inform us in your RSVP.

Can we stay at the hotel?

Answer

Yes, the Fort Garry Hotel has hundreds of rooms to choose from. A 15% price reduction has graciously been offered by the hotel. Please refer to the link in the travel tab for the price reduction.

We're from out of town, what can we do nearby if we stay at the hotel?

Answer

The Fort Garry Hotel is situated on the Southeast edge of downtown Winnipeg. It is near many amenities, restaurants, bars and cultural attractions such as the Forks National Historic Site, the Canadian Museum for Human Rights and the Exchange District.

Is there a wedding registry?

Answer

No, we will not be registering for any gifts. Your presence is gift enough however cards will be accepted during presentation.

Question

Will the reception immediately follow the ceremony?

Answer

No, there will be a three hour gap between the ceremony and the reception's cocktail hour. This is to allow for the change-over by hotel staff. There are plenty of amenities in the hotel while you wait, or you can use the time to take some photos in the very photogenic hotel.
