FAQs

Question

What if i cant make it?

Answer

We completely understand that life can get busy! Please RSVP 'no' by August 12th so we can plan accordingly. We'll miss you!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our celebration will be adults-only, except for children in the immediate family. We hope you’ll take this as a fun opportunity for a parents’ night away and join us for a night full of dancing (and drinking).

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We'd love our guests to follow a formal all-black dress code. For additional inspiration, visit our Dress Code page. Consider it guidance — but don't be afraid to go big. We can't wait to see how good you look!

Question

Is there parking at the ceremony?

Answer

The church has its own parking lot, plus additional street parking throughout La Jolla. Keep in mind La Jolla can get quite busy on weekends, so we recommend giving yourself an extra 30 minutes to find parking and arrive on time. The wedding reception has valet parking available for $20 all night.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

Out of respect for worship, we kindly ask that phone use be kept to a minimum during mass. Once the ceremony ends, go crazy— we love a good photo!

Question

How do i get from the ceremony to the reception?

Answer

The ceremony in La Jolla and the reception at The Ultimate Skybox in Downtown San Diego are approximately 20 minutes apart. We recommend taking an Uber or Lyft between the two venues — it's the easiest and most stress-free option. Rideshare drop-off at the reception is directly in front of the building at 350 Tenth Ave, San Diego, CA. If you prefer to drive, the venue offers $20 valet parking.

Question

Do you recommend any activities between ceremony end and cocktail hour?

Answer

Otherwise known as the 'Catholic gap!' La Jolla has many bars within walking distance once the ceremony ends. If you'd like to head to Downtown early, Far Corner is a brewery right around the corner from the reception venue — and the party kicks off at 5pm!

Question

I made it to the reception venue! Now where do I go?

Answer

Upon entering the building, let the front desk associate know you're here for the Kocsis Wedding. They'll direct you to the elevator to the 15th floor. So glad you made it!
