Ben's mom was Maggie's English teacher in 10th grade. Maggie first noticed Ben by a photo of his luscious locks on Jolene's desk. Later, Maggie recognized Ben when they happened to be at West Chester University entering their freshman year at the same time. She asked him to join her and her friends for lunch in the dining hall, and they became fast buddies. Ben and Maggie stayed close friends for 9 years, and never lost touch. One day, Ben and Maggie realized they were spending hours talking to each other on the phone (since Ben was in D.C. for work.) They both realized they were falling in love, and have been together ever since!
