The reception will be at Odd Fellow Hall in the Delano district, one of Wichita’s most historic neighborhoods.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we’d love to see your little ones, our ceremony at St. Thomas is a formal and solemn celebration. We kindly ask that you consider whether your young children would be comfortable sitting quietly for an extended period. We warmly welcome all children at our reception, however, where they can celebrate with us in a more relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere!

Will the reception start right after the ceremony?

Answer

We want to inform our beloved guests that there will be about a 3-hour gap between the ceremony and the reception, commonly known as the “Catholic Gap.” We understand that this might be an inconvenience for some. We recommend exploring the local area or relaxing nearby during this time. We look forward to seeing you all at the reception starting at 5:00 PM to continue the festivities!
