We met in early May 2011, thanks to the matchmaking of our friends Colleen and Lauren. What was supposed to be a summer of fun turned into a loving relationship. We spent our first summer together boating, camping, a cruise and hanging out with friends. The cruise included John's kids, Courtney and Casey and it gave us a great opportunity to get to know each other. We have memories from that trip that we still laugh about. What really won John over was Sue's ability to back a boat trailer down the boat ramp in 90-degree heat at the Sampson State Park during a weekend camping trip. 2014 was a year of changes. Sue started a new job in Gloversville. John sold the house in Pine Lake and we began our plans to build a new house, together. Mother's Day 2015 we moved into our new home on the shore of Canada Lake. A few months later John proposed in the kitchen of our new house. We have been so busy just enjoying every day and helping the kids graduate from high school, then college then moving to South Carolina that we didn't slow down to plan our wedding. 2015 to 2025 passed by so fast, its been a 10-year engagement and its time, we are getting married, 10-4-25.
