Question

Do guests need to be vaccinated against Covid-19 to attend the reception?

Answer

Yes, all guests must be vaccinated or provide proof of negative covid test. Temperature checks may be required if venue and county health officials recommend it. Event will be outdoor/tented with indoor bathrooms. County and city rules fluctuate according to case numbers and trends, if traveling to San Francisco indoor seating or entry to indoor events may require a Photo ID and proof-of-vaccination and/or a negative covid test. Guests attending the event must abide by the local Solano County guidelines and any domestic CDC travel guidelines. https://www.solanocounty.com/depts/ph/coronavirus.asp https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/travel-during-covid19.html

Question

What might guests expect?

Answer

Guest comfort is our highest priority. Our celebration is family-friendly and will represent a mix of cultures, identities, belief systems and lifestyles. Some of our guests may be traveling internationally or domestically within US. Our common thread is that all in attendance are loved and esteemed guests of Nicole & Sudheer. We hope all our guests feel included and welcome to participate in our wedding activities to the extent of their own personal comfort level. It's understandable to have questions about topics or customs that may be new. Guests may have questions about the appropriate attire/dress code, dietary accommodations and vegetarian options, respecting belief systems and symbolism used in ceremonies, diversity of identities, lifestyles and partnerships, respecting the environment, consent awareness, smoking and drinking alcohol responsibly and respecting others who may be abstaining. All of these principles are important to Sudheer and Nicole, so they have prepared a short guide here. (https://drive.google.com/file/d/19eGN5TDzfg3cstp4uAHGYW2Kic_07Ipz/view?usp=sharing). We encourage everyone to take a look, as this will help guests participate in an event designed to be meaningful and personal. In addition, Nicole and Sudheer have personally chosen a supportive and understanding wedding coordinator. If at any point guests feel uncomfortable or have a question, they are welcome to seek out their attention. Thank you for your loving acceptance and attention towards building a more inclusive and sustainable world with us.

Question

Are children welcome to attend?

Answer

Yes, if you would like to bring your children they are more than welcome to attend. There is plenty of lawn space to run around and play on the property. Note there will be areas for catering and there will be hot surfaces near the buffet - adult supervision is recommended at all times for your children's safety. The event will be designed like an "outdoor dining" experience with the only indoor room being the restrooms. Nursing and feeding children is natural and you may do so wherever you feel comfortable - but private rooms for nursing or letting young children nap can be made available upon request. Please send the bride and groom a note if you have any questions or requests to make your family feel comfortable.
