How We Met

Fall of 2009

Her Story: We attended Mission Viejo High School. Zack was the shy outcast and I was the social butterfly. One glance at him during lunch changed everything for me. I was intrigued by his mystery. He seemed uninterested, but it didn't stop me from getting to know him. He was a little different and definitely a trouble maker. One memory I had before I fell head-over-heels for him, was on my way out of statistics. He walked by me with a torn up tee (probably The Clash) and some kind of platform shoes and HUGE headphones. This was back when large headphones were weird and the small itty bitty ones were in. I always wondered what he was listening to and what was his damage. He is the ying to my yang. If it wasn't for that texts asking if he liked me months later, then we probably wouldn't be here. I wanted to know him and to this day, I want to know more and learn more. His Story: How did we meet? I don’t really know. It seems like she’s been wrapped in my arms for as long as I can remember. I still remember every second of it. I was minding my own business, trying to listen to some obscure band through my headphones and attempting to figure out how I was going to pass my even some of classes during my senior year of high school. Suddenly, this popular girl walks up and starts talking to me. I was so confused, I couldn’t believe it. In fact, I don’t think I even said more than a single word at a time while she was talking to me. I had to get to class, so I hurriedly ended the conversation. I was pretty sure I blew it and wrecked any chance I had with this pretty girl. Turns out, she liked guys who dressed like bums and listened to obscure music. I encounter her again short after, at a get together of some mutual friend’s mutual friend. I thought it had to have been fate. We talked, got along, and started to hang out. As they say, the rest is history.
