In 2013 Amy had been laid off, out of work, no one to hire her when she got a call to be an assistant editor at the Asylum, the production company known for Sharknado. Robert had been working his way through cutting casting reels and assistant editing there for a year, and was cutting his first feature. Amy came on as his assistant editor, but with 16 hour alternating works shifts, there was no time for romance until both were working the night shift on different features. Many nights of walking around Burbank waiting for transcodes and renders allowed us to get to know each other before we decided to give this a shot. Now, nearly 9 years later we are finally tying the knot.
