We’re getting married!

Knowing one’s ancestors and continuing to honor them by taking care of the generations past, present and future has always been of great importance to both Rebecca and Jeremiah. Upon living away for so long, they ventured to the coast for a day of memory making with their children, Aidan and Freyja. They spent the day recounting favorite childhood spots of Rebecca’s while Jeremiah heard stories of Andre the Seal, the lime kilns, Laite beach, the film spots of one of their favorite movies (Casper) and more. Rebecca’s love of history and tradition—and a strong yearning to introduce Jeremiah to her family beyond—brought them to the family cemetery where they honored the ones passed with stories and company while attending to the grave sites. It was here that Jeremiah got down on one knee, surrounded by the generations that came before and holding their baby girl, Freyja, in his arms with a full heart and asked Rebecca to be his wife. To which she ecstatically said yes! Followed by their 9 year old, Aidan, proceeding to screech with excitement and begin singing “the wedding song” while Jeremiah placed a silver ring with a single pearl in the center upon her finger.
