Can we bring our kids?

Answer

Please note that this is an adult-only wedding. You are welcome to bring nursing infants under 12 months old. Unfortunately, after visiting the venue, we realized the space is less suitable for young infants than expected. Due to insurance and liability concerns, the venue is unable to provide us with a private room for babysitting, nursing, or a quiet moment. There is a bench in the women’s bathroom which may be used for nursing. The chapel will be available as a quiet space as well, though it is not air-conditioned or heated. We are sorry that we are unable to provide more accommodations!

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Due to the size of our guest list, we cannot accommodate extra people at the wedding. We only have spaces for the guests listed on your invitation.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We ask that you wear semi-formal attire such as a cocktail-length dress, dressy separates, or a suit and tie.

How do I get to the venue (and back to Asheville)?

Answer

We have hired a bus service to shuttle people from two locations downtown to the venue. There will be one trip out to the venue and one trip to return to Asheville. If you plan on consuming alcohol we highly recommend using the bus service as the drive to the venue winds through the hills. You may also drive or use Uber or Lyft to get to the venue. Rides should be readily available to get out to the venue, however due to distance and limited cell service we want to emphasize that options for hiring a ride back to Asheville will likely be limited. If you anticipate leaving the reception early, we recommend that you schedule a ride in advance.

Bus information?

Answer

We are offering a complementary bus service to and from the venue. Busses will be picking up guests at 2:00 PM, please try to arrive at your preferred pick up spot at 1:50 PM. Guest will be picked up at the following three locations: 1. Marriott Renaissance Hotel 31 Woodfin St, Asheville, NC 28801 2. The Flat Iron Hotel 20 Battery Park Ave, Asheville, NC 28801 3. Hotel Indigo 151 Haywood St, Asheville, NC 28801 The busses will shuttle guests back to these locations in Asheville at the conclusion of the reception.

Will there be parking at the venue?

Answer

There is parking available at the venue. There is a lot directly abutting the venue, as well as an overflow lot at the base of a steep hill near the venue.

What if I drive to the venue, but while minding my own business a sudden fit of drunkenness overcomes me?

Answer

You may leave your car overnight and return to pick it up in the morning without incurring a fee or getting towed!

Can we take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We’ve hired a photographer and we’d love to have photos with no phones or devices in them. Please put away your cameras and phones during our wedding ceremony.

Will there be dietary accommodations?

Answer

When you fill out your RSVP form, please tell us about your dietary needs, including food allergies, and we’ll make sure you’re taken care of! The dinner service will include three stations offering vegetarian and meat options. We will provide menus indicating gluten-free dishes.

What will the temperature be like?

Answer

In late September, Asheville temperatures range from 55 to 75. Due to our venue’s high elevation as well, we recommend bringing an extra layer!
