Chesapeake Bay Bridge

Bay Bridge traffic can be pretty terrible on a summer weekend, with many people heading towards the MD and DE beaches. Make sure to keep this in mind and give yourself plenty of extra travel time!

Flight

BWI or DCA

BWI is the closest airport (and Amtrak station). Depending on what time of the day you arrive, it is only about a 45-minute drive/Uber ride to Kent Island. Reagan National (DCA) is only 35 miles away, but DC traffic is unpredictable and can be brutal, so keep this in mind if you want to fly into DCA. Avoid Dulles (IAD) at all costs, if possible.
