Why Telluride?
Answer
We've been coming to Telluride every year since we started dating. It's one of our favorite places in Colorado. We got engaged on stage at the Telluride Blues and Brews Festival in 2021 so it seemed like the perfect place.

Why wasn't I invited?
Answer
Because we just don't like you that much. KIDDING! No one was invited, so, it's not about you.

Ok but actually, why weren't we invited?
Answer
Have you ever planned a wedding?... While being surrounded by all of the people we love and like at one event sounded amazing, it also sounded a *little* stressful. So in the interest of our own sanity, we decided to have a simple, intentional, and intimate day just for us.
Question
What was the wedding day like?
Answer
One word. Perfect. Jake cooked us breakfast and then took Fishman to the park while Samantha got ready. Upon return from the park, Jake was given like 10 minutes to get ready and thrust into a photo shoot (his absolute favorite). After our first look photos we took the gondola to the top of the ski resort for more photos and then onto the ceremony. The ceremony took place in the shadow of Wilson Peak and Sunshine Mountain. The ceremony was short and sweet, in the perfect setting. Post ceremony we cruised around Telluride in Big Rich's all-original 1973 Ford Bronco, sipping champagne and taking more photos. We had dinner at The National and spent the night out on the town just the two of us. It was exactly what we wanted. Simple, stress free, and so much fun.

Will there be a party or a reception?
Answer
Probably! We do love parties. We've talked lots about the idea but made absolutely no headway in terms of a plan, so, time will tell. But yeah, plan on a party... at some point.

Did Samantha change her name?
Answer
Yes, it's Samantha Johnson now.

Did Fishman serve as your witness?
Answer
Fun fact, in Colorado witnesses are not required. But yes, he was part of the whole day and spent the ceremony chowing down on a beef bone.

Who was your officiant?
Answer
His name is Big Rich, he's the guy you call in Telluride when you need something done. We work closely with Rich at events in Telluride and has become a dear friend of ours. Even back when we said we'd never get married, we wanted him to officiate. So, it was a dream come true.

Will you go on a honeymoon?
Answer
YES. TBD where. (feeling absolutely flush with cash? benjis burning a hole in your pocket? well do we have a honeymoon fund for you...)

Is the Bronco for sale?
Answer
We received an unsolicited, on the spot cash offer while cruising around town for $50,000 that Big Rich politely declined. Competing offers inquire within.
