AS per Becca Fashion, I have to complicate things. When you click the RSVP button, it will take you to an RSVP for the Wedding, mark will or will not attend, then it will take you to the Reception RSVP. We are not expecting people to travel, and we do not want to exclude anyone one from either event. We are however planning something small and private-ish.
July 2, 2009, Chris and Colleen thought their friends needed to meet. I (Rebecca) said no thanks, I'm good, as I am sitting on the porch at the apartment in my Eyeore pj's. Colleen says, well, we already planned it, and Chris is at the gate now. Fast forward about 45 seconds, hair done, make-up on and no more eyeore pj's. I probably wasn't my most pleasant self (IYKYK), in fact, Chris tried using the whole "he has a cool car" trick, but then I found out it was a DODGE. YUCK, but off to Little River Bar and Grill we went. Stuart says he had the same sentiments. Good where he's at. Doesn't need to meet anyone. I am curious though how Chris convinced him to get in the car and go. By the way, now this is important. I drove us all to the restaurant. The four of us sat on the patio downstairs at Little River, had an appetizer, a couple of drinks, chatted and just goofed off. HERE IS WHERE IT GETS TRICKY. The Bill comes. Stuart grabbed it and paid. I fully intended on paying my fair share. THIS WAS NOT A DATE! To this day, it's he says she says kind of thing. People often ask when our first date was since I say it was just a meet and greet. I honestly have no idea. That year was such a whirlwind. Life was crashing all around me. He became my rock. My solid foundation. The person to pick me up when it seemed it was all falling apart. So, while, July 2, 2009, was a MEET AND GREET, it truly is the most important day that would lead to the rest of my life.
