We're getting married!

On July 4, 2022, instead of lighting fireworks and enjoying the company of friends (and a federally mandated day off), we were deployed to Qatar. We met on the bus on the way to initial in-processing, making small talk as one does. Brandon and I didn't see each other all that much during the work days, but passing glances and a smile at shift change was still enough to make me blush. Aside from getting lost in homework and movies in my limited free time, there was always the gym. And who would be there every time? Him. Brandon walked up and asked if I needed someone to spot me. I said yes, and the whole time was thinking, "Man, this guy is really gorgeous. There is no way he likes me". Well, if you're reading this you know I was very wrong. Many months later, I was running errands on base when I ran into Brandon. We caught up on each other's lives, he wanted to see me later that week, I mentioned wine and games at my house, and we left to meet again. When he came over, my best friend (and Maid of Honor!) Ellie and I spend the whole day together. Once the energy mellowed out, Brandon and I bonded over shared ideals, goals, and good wine, and decided to start dating that night. We began our journey together on June 20, 2023, and we invite you to witness the next voyage on October 26, 2024.
