We live 1 block away from Golden Gate Park and love meandering through the park all the time. Some favs are the Angler Pond, Redwood Grove, Rose Garden, Conservatory of Flowers, and the Bison (of course).
A beautiful view of the ocean amongst an old swim club ruins -- you can also get here if you hike Lands End trail!
We went on our second date here and continue to come back to do the walk from Crissy Field to Fort Point (base of Golden Gate Bridge). Do this short stroll along the ocean to get iconic views of the Bridge and Alcatraz!
A rare free activity in SF -- go here to learn more about the cable cars, see the cable car system, and take a ride!
A beautiful cathedral located a couple of blocks away from our venue and hotel recs -- there's a Keith Haring located inside!
This is where we went on our first date and where we got engaged :) the Farmer's Market is open on Sunday's at 9am, but go to Fort Mason for a picturesque walk from the park to the Aquatic Center.
Some of our favorite pizza in the city and located near our venue/hotels -- you can't go wrong with anything here! Located in the heart of North Beach if you want to grab a drink after or just explore one of the liveliest neighborhoods in the city!
Casual spot for great Italian food near our venue.
Coffee Movement has great coffee and is a 4 minute walk from all of our hotel recommendations! You know the coffee is going to be good if Stu approves.
Wood fired pizza near our hotel recs.
Grab a sandwich from Molinari and if it's sunny, walk a couple of blocks over to Columbus Square Park and enjoy your sandwich in the park!
Takeout only but some of the best dim sum/dumplings the city has to offer!
Go here if you want a proper authentic dim sum meal with the carts!
Good & casual Chinese restaurant near the venue/hotel recs -- fun fact: this is one of Wale's favorite restaurants.
Truly an SF institution, Tosca has been around since 1919! Come here for an old school vibe with great pasta -- get their famous "cappuccino" if you want to continue to some North Beach bars. Fun fact: Jay-Z and Beyonce have eaten in the secret private room multiple times when in town for tours!
Come here if you want elevated Hawaiian food with interesting flavors in a fun atmosphere -- please note, you'll want a reservation here if possible!
Some of the best pasta in the city and it's affordable! There' many locations throughout SF but this is the original location in North Beach, which is a fun and lively neighborhood near our venue/hotel recs to explore.
Modern Vietnamese food with a fun bar below!
Another great option near the venue/hotel recs for good Chinese food -- definitely get the Peking Duck Hot Pockets and Dutch Crunch Pork Buns!
One of our favorite bakeries in the city -- think modern twists with interesting flavor profiles on classic baked goods. They also have great salads and sandwiches! Relatively near Golden Gate Park.
This is our FAVORITE Chinese food in the city!! Go for lunch and the wait time will be more manageable. If you go for dinner, expect a wait but know that it will 100% be worth the wait. Pro tip: when you arrive, go inside and immediately add your name to the whiteboard that's to the right of the entrance! Our favorites here are: the Dry Fried Beef (trust us and order this!), Pork Potstickers, and Dry Fried Green Beans.
Another one of our neighborhood favorites -- the best natural wine & hoagies! Come here after exploring GGP or Ocean Beach.
Grab a coffee from Stu's former place of employment!
Candy's favorite bowl of pho in the city -- also don't sleep on the imperial rolls here. We go here regularly when we need a nice warm bowl of comfort since it's conveniently located a few blocks from our apartment!
Burmese food is rare to find in other places but we have an abundance of it in SF -- it's sort of a mixture between Thai and Indian. We love Burma Superstar and love to take visitors here for a unique dining experience. Must get: tea leaf salad, platha & dip, coconut rice, and fiery chicken!
The fable is that this restaurant invented Garlic Noodles -- and their garlic noodles are the best we've ever had. We go here with Bach whenever we have something special to celebrate as their Roasted Garlic Dungeness Crab pairs perfectly with Garlic Noodles! Just know that you will have EXTREME garlic breath after this meal.
