FAQs

Question

What is this venue?

Answer

This is the Russo family cabin, about 2.5 hours away from the Twin Cities. The main cabin has been in Maria's family for years and Marty and Jane call it their home. They recently purchased the cabin next door and use it as a guest house and airbnb! The cabins sit on the pristine and quaint Spider Lake. Our wedding will be taking place on the grounds of both cabins. The ceremony and reception will be outdoors and it's pretty rustic, so wear comfy shoes! If you’re bringing small children, please be aware that the cabin is on the lake and they will have very easy access to the water so you will need to keep a close eye on them :)

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are not doing a wedding registry but we will have a honeymoon fund if you'd like to contribute! We will be putting out two containers at the wedding, each one for a different honeymoon destination. Put cash in for your favorite destination and the highest total is where we'll go!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Ceremony starts at 4PM CT, but feel free to arrive at least half an hour early! If you are camping at the Russo Lake Home please arrive two or more hours early in order to set up your tent etc. before the ceremony starts. Check the schedule page for more info.

Question

Can I bring a date or my kids?

Answer

If your rsvp says you can! :) Your RSVP will have your children’s names listed if they are invited. Unfortunately, we just don’t have the capacity for all the kiddos!

Question

I have a food allergy/dietary restriction, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please do!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Reach out to Stu and Mar if you are struggling to find a place. Barnes, Solon Springs, Superior, Duluth, and Hayward have options. There are also places to camp if that's your thing!

Question

Can I bring my dog(s)?

Answer

Unfortunately, no dogs will be allowed. The cabin can be overwhelming for pets if they aren't used to it, and there is nowhere to keep them during festivities.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There will be parking on the side of South Bell Road. It's a dirt road leading up to the driveway of the cabin where the wedding is being held.
