Six years ago, the day Skyler’s parents dropped her off at college, we met and unknowingly stepped into the start of our story. She was 18, focused on making every tournament count in her first year of college golf, and fully immersed in the life she was building. Stran was in his second year of college, rooted in raising sheep and working hard toward his own goals—but somehow, our paths crossed at exactly the right moment. We crossed paths at many of the same stock shows and ran in the same circles growing up, but it still took that exact season of life for us to finally meet. If you had told Skyler in 2019 that she’d be marrying a man who raises sheep, she would have laughed you off the golf course. After her final Houston Stock Show, she swore she was done with the barn life for good and stayed focused on golf, her dreams, and—mostly—just golf. Then came “Beeriocart.” Stran and Skyler met during her first week of college, and while she played hard to get for a few months, he eventually became the caddy for her heart. Since November 2019, Stran has been Skyler’s biggest supporter—cheering her on through every swing, every season, and every milestone. Together, we’ve built a life full of laughter, hard work, and the kind of love that feels like home. Stran provides steady care, patience, and support; Skyler brings energy, drive, and a stubborn refusal to master gates. And somehow, it all works. We love that we can be fully ourselves, laugh until it hurts, and build something that is uniquely ours. We are so grateful for the life we've built together and cannot wait to continue this journey side by side as husband and wife.
