We’re getting married!

Our proposal story is one I will never forget and never get tired of telling. I was on Zoom meeting with some clasmates finishing a Chemistry lab when my mom called saying the doctor she was working for loved her and wanted to take her and her family to dinner. I was extremely excited to meet him since I had heard so much about him and when I heard where he wanted to take us I was ecstatic. The following Sunday, Dave and I got dressed up and made the drive to my favorite Italian restaurant, Gavi. When we got there and was no doctor to meet, I was disappointed but understood, because my mom told me he had gotten stuck at the hospital on call. Since my dad has call all the time I am very familiar with this. I should’ve started picking up on things then, but of course I didn’t. Mikayla asked me if I could help her adjust her dress so I followed her to the bathroom while my parents and Dave perfected their plan. We had dinner and wine, it was a perfect meal! My mom then dragged me with her to the bathroom where she basically forced me to put on lipstick. I was annoyed, but not enough to fight her on it. We walked back to the table where Dave was on one knee. I couldn’t focus on anything but him. He said all the right things and popped the question with the perfect ring! Afterwards, I was still a little in shock because I looked at my mom and asked if there was ever a real dinner with her doctor planned. Obviously there wasn’t, but they all definitely had me fooled!
