Attire and History of the House: "The Green River House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973." There are stories of Union Soldiers housing their horses in the living room, horseshoe markings from the horses seeking shelter during that time can be found under the piano. We hoped to have the house open for touring; however, there are permanent residents on the property. Although inside tours may be limited, outside photos are encouraged and welcomed! Please share your own stories! It's a blessed day. The ceremony will be held OUTDOORS (rain: PIVOT is in place). The lawn and pond are quite spectacular, reception to follow in tents and the Pavilion. The terrain is grass and gravel, Pavillion is smooth concrete. (Shoes are something to consider for comfort, hopes of not ruining your lovely shoes.) Ladies and gentlemen! ...this is a celebration, also Kentucky Derby Day! Please feel free to wear your Derby Best and have fun. We look forward to seeing you all!

Sunday Send Off Party (drop-in)

12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Super casual, kiddo and pet friendly, with a grassy area to play. Yard-size Jenga and cornhole. Food truck onsite. Amanda recommends the fish tacos!
