It all began in 2015 at Busch Gardens, amidst the sounds of roller coaster screams, questionable park snacks, and two coworkers who never expected to find their favorite person while on the job. Ricky was the charming Griffon ride operator, and Danielle was his supervisor. Although technically a workplace romance, rest assured, no rules were broken (that we’ll admit to). Their relationship had its share of twists and turns—some thrilling drops and gentle loops—but no matter what, they always found their way back to each other. From Marvel movie marathons and vinyl record hunts to WWE nights, sports events, travel adventures, and epic board game battles (with plenty of fact-checking along the way), they turned life into a grand adventure filled with laughter, love, and shared chaos. In 2021, they upgraded to a new ride: a home of their own, shared with their mischievous bully mix, Maggie. Then, in 2024, they experienced two headline events: Ricky’s proposal in June, followed by the arrival of their ultimate VIP guest, little Ricky the 3rd—affectionately known as “Tre”—in September. Some rides are thrilling, some are comforting, but the best ones—the ones worth every twist and turn—are those you take together. And theirs? It’s a ride they’ll cherish for a lifetime.
