The best day of our lives!

While both wistfully swiping on Facebook dating... yes, it's a thing, Dan and I connected. Only a few days before my milestone 30th birthday celebration in an undisclosed location, Dan was eager to set a time to meet up. Despite various offerings of simple to complex date spots, I was more focused on my 5 day celebration than the cute guy in the pictures on the screen in front of me and I made him wait. As most of my generation knows... online dating isn't all it's cracked up to be! So, as the festivities unfold and I head down to Williamsburg, VA, Dan showed the perfect level of interest and distance that held my attention. During this time, Mom and Marissa both agreed he was cute and pushed me to accept a first date the day after I got back (Thanks guys- I owe you one). Butterfly ridden and standing in the parking lot of Widow's Tavern, I was beyond thankful that the handsome man who hopped out of the pick up truck had a killer smile and didn't lie about his height! From that moment through the fabulous conversation over dinner, I had to pinch myself while thinking, "How did I get so lucky?". Fast forward through many dates, vacations, and memories, we land ourselves in Aruba where, down on one knee, overlooking the most beautiful views, he asked and I said 'YES' as I actively took the ring out of his hand and shoved it on my finger. Lucky for me, that ring symbolizes that I get to have so many more memories with the best man around. Since then, we have endured living in my 400 sq foot tiny home for 6 months without killing each other but instead learning and loving each other more. Missy and Zoey also enjoy having their Dad here full time for all the 'smooshins' they could ever want. Although the tiny home has been great, we are proud to say we have upgraded to our first home in the beautiful suburbs of Bethlehem, PA which we moved into on October 31, 2023. Dan is the true yin to my yang, grounding to my whimsical, and reality to my dreams. Thank you for joining us as our story continues to unfold. Love, Melanie
