As many of you know, we have been in love for a long time. We had sixth-grade math together--Christian would say this is when he fell in love, while Anna would say she doesn't even remember having a class with him! Then came eighth-grade Spanish, where we became best friends, secretly holding hands under the lunchroom table. There was something so special and innocent about the love we shared at that time--something different from any other middle school crush. Over the summer between middle school and high school, we didn't speak much, but by freshman year, we reconnected. It wasn't long before we became boyfriend and girlfriend, and the rest is history. There's something beautiful and transformative about growing up together. We have changed in countless ways since we first fell in love, but through it all, we have continued to choose each other as we've grown into the people we are today. A couple of days shy of our ten-year anniversary, Christian surprised Anna in Central Park, got down on one knee, and asked the most anticipated question--one Anna always knew she'd say yes to.
