So We Already Got Married, Now Lets Celebrate!

We met during our first week of college through a mutual friend and soon became dining hall buddies. After a few months of going to get food together, we simply stopped talking. There was no goodbye or words of farewell, it was simply that neither one of us messaged the other. We look back and laugh now, but that is honestly what happened. Fast forward to the last semester of senior year and we reconnected. We spent the last few months of school laughing, smiling, and, yes, even going to get food together. Then we decided we never wanted it to end!

A few months before the proposal, Scott jokingly put a hose clamp around my finger calling it an engagement ring. Little did he expect me to keep wearing it...every day...for months. It became our cute, little joke. I became quite attached to it after wearing it for so long. One day while I had the hose clamp off because I was cooking, Scott stole it and ran outside. Needless to say, I followed. Turning back to look at me, Scott threw the hose clamp over his shoulder into the hayfield. I was sad and angry all at once. I went to look for it, and I guess the jokes on him because I found it. When I turned around to show him, he was down on one knee with a very different kind of ring!

We all know that 2020 was a crazy year. Originally we had planned to get married in August, but we decided to postpone for obvious reasons. As the year progressed, we kept planning and re-planning so eventually, we decided to just go ahead and get married. We had a perfect day surrounded by family and very close friends. The beautiful, snowy day made the perfect atmosphere for our small warm gathering. There was little stress and plenty of smiles. We had our perfect wedding, now we want to celebrate!
