To Do

Glen Falls House has been a welcomed getaway for the two of us since the beginning of our relationship. With its proximity to New York City, we often have found ourselves making last minute jaunts to the woods, to walk the trails, sit by the pool, thrift in Hudson, and explore the surrounding areas. Here are some of our most cherished spots:

The Maker Cafe

302 Warren Street, Hudson, NY 12534
, (518) 509-2620

The Maker Cafe is a must visit in Hudson. Only 20 minutes from GFH, find an immaculately curated cafe with pastries to match. (If there is availability, we highly recommend staying the night if it's within your means)

Gracie's Luncheonette

969 Main Street, Leeds, NY 12451
, (518) 943-9363

DONUTS DONUTS DONUTS!!!! If that doesn't sell you, their hash brown is top notch and make a great lunch. Marco would force you to go Hodge Podge antique shop up the block... Nikki waits outside...

Circle W Market

3328 New York 23A, Palenville, NY 12463
, (518) 678-3250

For yummy panini and camp style provisions

New York Restaurant

353 Main Street, Catskill, NY 12414
, (518) 943-5500

Catskills destination Polish restaurant, yummy pierogis and schnitzel with flexible availability

Warren Street

Warren Street, Hudson, NY 12534

Vintage Mecca with a little something for everyone. Our go-tos on Hudson's main drag include Antigo, Neven & Neven Moderne, and LOOK Hudson vintage. If you venture to the bottom of Warren, past the train station, you will find the Antique Warehouse. You might need a few hours to get through it all.

Sauna at GFH

230 Winter Clove Rd, Round Top, NY 12473

Right on property is a sauna nestled in the woods. Enjoy a refreshing ice bath and dip in the stream, followed by a sweat you'll never forget! (book in advance)

Ice Box Falls

230 Winter Clove Rd, Round Top, 12473

The premiere waterfall at GFH which will have refreshing spring water rushing through for an afternoon dip

Overlook Trail

Woodstock, NY

Tall climb up serene wooded path through an abandoned hotel overlooking Woodstock, no Jack Nicholson included

Saugerties Lighthouse

168 Lighthouse Drive, Saugerties, NY 12477
, (845) 247-0656

Random stop on our first trip out has continued to be a beautiful stroll to see some Americana along the Hudson River. We are yet to get a room at the B&B...

For all the days along the way
