How do I get to the wedding?
Answer
Woodend Sanctuary is a short drive from the Bethesda Hyatt (where we have reserved a block of rooms for our guests) and the other hotels listed on our website. We recommend taking an Uber/Lyft (in the DC area, it is unusual to wait more than 5 minutes for a driver to arrive), or the hotel can help you arrange a taxi. For guests who plan to drive themselves to the event, free parking is available at the venue.

Yes. Parking is available near the mansion, a short walking distance from the ceremony area.

Do you have childcare recommendations for guests traveling with kids?

What shoes should I wear?
Answer
If the weather is nice, the ceremony will be held in an outdoor grove, and you will need to take a few steps off the paved pathway through the grass to reach your seat. The rest of the party will take place inside the mansion and on the patio, which is high heel-friendly. (Though you are also free to explore the trails through the wooded areas and meadow near the mansion, if you'd like!)
