Our wedding safety plan: Every adult guest and vendor is fully vaccinated. We will contact you ahead of time if we need to confirm your vaccination status. If you have any symptoms, recent contact with unvaccinated people, or contact with anyone who is ill, we require a negative COVID test no more than 48 hours prior to arriving at the wedding. All wedding activities are outdoors, with the exception of the dinner buffet. We are asking everyone to bring a mask to wear while getting food inside. We are assigning dinner seating by (mostly) grouping people who are “bubbled” together.
Short answer, there isn't any. The Lodge and our cabins have internet, but don't count on it working too well with a big group of people! Just plan ahead and pretend it's the 90s again.
All the wedding events are within walking distance of the Lodge. Parking is available in the lot shared by the Lake Quinault Lodge and Ranger Station. Parking there is free of charge, without time limits, and there are two electric car charging stations. There will be no parking available at the wedding venues. We will have a shuttle service, for those for whom walking is not an option.
Our wedding is a celebration of our love and the things/people we love. One of the things we love most is the outdoors, so of course, we wouldn't imagine anything other than an outdoor wedding. There will be dirt, uneven ground, and many other earthy things that we love so much. Save your ankles and wear shoes you don't mind getting a little Mother Nature on them.
Closest "real" grocery stores: Trader Joe's and Haggen's in Olympia (1.5 hours east Quinault, right off I5) Safeway in Aberdeen (40 minutes south of Quinault off Highway 101) There are a few little markets in Quinault where you can get some choice items like candy, s'mores fixings, and beer.
Lake Quinault Lodge Restaurant Salmon House (great salmon, mediocre everything else, but hey they're true to their name) Seabrook Town on Pacific Beach has a few great restaurants including pizza, ice cream, and a wine bar See the THINGS TO DO page for more info and links/directions to restaurants.
Yes. If you're camping at any of the campgrounds you'll have to bear-proof your food. If that's new to you, good luck. Just kidding, the ranger station can help and they have bear canisters you can borrow!
