It all started on September 22nd, 2016, when Dan asked Allie out on a date after two years of working together. Singers Karaoke Bar became the backdrop for the beginning of their love story, where they shared laughs, drinks, and conversations that stretched into the night. Little did they know that this evening would mark the start of their life together. As they spent more time together, Dan and Allie's relationship evolved, their connection deepened, and they fell in love. In 2018, they embarked on a new chapter by leaving their hometown and settling into their first apartment in Buffalo, NY. This move not only granted them independence but also brought them closer, solidifying their love for each other (and Buffalo chicken wings). The couple's joy multiplied in 2021 with the addition of a furry family member—Waffles, their first puppy! Dan and Allie then embarked on a grand adventure, taking a leap of faith and moving to Washington D.C. Their time in the capital city was filled with exploration, museum visits, and cherished moments with their neighbors, Joe and Jill. After eight incredible years together, marked by adventures, laughter, and growth, Dan and Allie have decided to come full circle. They are ecstatic to settle down in Syracuse, buying their very first home surrounded by the love and warmth of family and friends. Their journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, and as they return to their roots, they look forward to a lifetime of happiness and new adventures together. In June 2023, Allie and Dan took a trip to Jacksonville, North Carolina, not just to visit, but to celebrate the arrival of a precious new addition to their family—Allie's niece, Callie Mae. Little did Allie know that this trip would be more special than she could have ever imagined! Dan, with the help of Allie's brother Ricky and sister-in-law Cristina, meticulously and secretly planned a surprise engagement that they would remember forever. Dan took Allie to a romantic dinner by the ocean. As the sun began to set, he suggested a walk along the beach. As they walked, Dan expressed his desire for the trip to be special for her because he knew she loved her family and the beach, and that he also wanted the trip to be special for another reason. He stopped walking and when Allie turned around, Dan was on his knee with the most beautiful ring! SHE SAID YES! With tears in their eyes, Allie and Dan quickly began calling their families to share their excitement and joy. Later, they reunited with Ricky and Cristina on the beach, toasting to the future with glasses of champagne. Allie and Dan will remember this trip forever and Emerald Isle Beach will always hold a special place in their hearts! Prior to the trip, Allie's grandmother, Joanne, gave Dan her original engagement ring from 1967. Dan also gave Allie this ring on the night of the proposal and the diamond has been incorporated into her wedding band. Allies grandparents, Gary & Joanne, have been married 55 years & counting!
