A group of students on the Saint Vincent College Cross-Country team went mini golfing and go-karting one Fall semester evening. During a go-kart race, the attendant told everyone to slow down as the race was coming to an end. Olivia forgot which pedal was the gas and which was the brake, so when she went to slow down, she accidentally sped up and hit the go-kart in front of her. Later, the guy she hit jokingly asked if she was “trying to take his back out.” Olivia just laughed as she was a little embarrassed and thought he was cute. The guy’s name was Alex. After that, we cheered for each other as teammates and then started talking and going on dates later that Fall.

Alex proposed on Mount Washington in front of their families, after roughly six and a half years of dating.
