Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our wedding will be an Island formal event. We suggest a suit or formal evening wear, nice dresses or evening pantsuits. We want you to feel comfortable and your best! There are some extra steps in order to attend the wedding. If you plan to wear heels, consider a thicker block heel as you will have to go from boat to dock, and we wouldn't want your shoe to go through the dock slats.

When should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that all guests arrive at least 15 minutes before the ceremony time, which is 1pm. This ensures that guests will have some time to get seated. There is parking at Our Lady Queen of Peace church if you plan to drive to the ceremony.

What should I do between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Some people may want to go back to their AirBnB or Inn to regroup, if not, and if the weather works in our favor, we recommend walking around Boothbay. Grab a drink or snack in town, or pick up some candy from Ornes! There is a lot to do in Boothbay Harbor in the short time between the ceremony and ferry to the reception!

When should I arrive to the ferry to the reception?

Answer

Please arrive to the ferry departure location at Pier 8 (42 Commercial Street, Boothbay Harbor Maine) no later than 4:15pm, the Ferry will leave promptly at 4:30pm. There is limited parking at Pier 8. Many of the inns & B&Bs are in walking distance to Pier 8 and some have shuttles to the area - please let us know if you are having difficulty coordinating this and we will be happy to assist. How do I get back to the harbor?

Answer

We have two ferry options leaving the reception on the island. We will have an early ferry at 930pm and a later ferry at 1130pm.
