We are getting married!

Dan and Heather met in Okinawa in October 2012. Dan had recently returned to Okinawa from a deployment, and Heather was a civilian in Okinawa. The first meeting did not go as planned for Heather or Dan. There was a bad game of beer pong, and both ended up stomping off in different directions. I am confident that there were more run ins with each other before Oz's birthday in November 2012, but the historian for the time period was drinking a little too much to be certain. At Oz's birthday party in November 2012, Heather and Dan met up once again. He was standing at the bar, and Heather was a few seats down. Dan worked his way over in order to talk to Heather, where he proceeded to use the best and worst pick up line in the history of mankind. Straight from Devil's Advocate, he managed to tell her she needed to cut her hair. Needless to say, it worked. Heather and Dan spent many years dancing around each other, the best of friends. Reconnecting time after time. In 2024, Dan clicked to follow Heather on Linkedin and Heather messaged him with the normal response of hello stranger. They had a long phone call, and Dan jumped on a plane to tell her how he felt and she felt exactly the same. A love that grew over a 12 year period. And they have been together ever since.
