We’re getting married!

John and Cheyenne met in the new world of online dating! It was December 05, 2015 and John made the first move on Cheyenne and the first thing he asked her was "So how do you like OSU?" Cheyenne and John messaged back and forth for quite sometime until Cheyenne decided to finally give John her phone number. The texting continued for hours upon days while John was working out of state at the time. 2 weeks later, he was in town and it was finally time for them to meet! All Cheyenne could think about was...”I HOPE HE IS NOT A CATFISH!” Thankfully, that was not the case. whew! John and Cheyenne's first date was at Tequila Cowboy. Cheyenne loves country music and had never been there. While the environment is mainly dancing, drinking and loud music, Cheyenne and John truly enjoyed each others company and talked all night learning about each other. Later that night John asked Cheyenne what she was doing the next night. And it blossomed from there :)

John and Cheyenne started officially dating May 01, 2016. After 5 long wonderful years, John told Cheyenne we were going to be going to his parents boat on Lake Erie on May 22nd, 2021. Cheyenne didn't think much of it at the time, until John told her "my parents want us to wear something nice. We are going to a fancy dinner." Cheyenne questioned "could this be the moment?" Until that morning came and Cheyenne wanted to do her hair and makeup and he told her to not do any of that. he was just going to be going in a white t-shirt and shorts. Cheyenne still did her makeup though...just in case! The whole ride there, John was acting totally normal...a little TOO normal. Not nervous at all. So Cheyenne thought, "maybe I was wrong!" The idea then totally left Cheyenne's head. When they got there, John's parents said they had to go meet with their realtor and we would go somewhere else after that once they were done. So we went and got a drink and walked near the water while John's parents made their way up to the building/restaurant. It was HOT out that day. Cheyenne decided she wanted to go out in the water and cool off by putting her toes in the water. John finally made his way by her side, and asked "do you see that over there...what is that??" Cheyenne is looking everywhere in the distance. SO CONFUSED! But then she hears his voice below her and that's when it clicked. She turns around and John is on one knee and asked "WILL YOU MARRY ME?!" Of course she said yes...even though he had the wedding box upside down! lol.
