It all began on Halloween night in our college town of Wahpeton, North Dakota. Isaac, dressed as a Motley Crüe rocker, and Natalie, sporting a lifeguard costume, crossed paths for the first time at a party. With different friend groups, neither of us expected the night to be anything more than a fun celebration—but fate had other plans. Natalie was on a winning streak in beer pong when Isaac stepped up as her next challenger. Sparks flew immediately—both of us found the other attractive, but Isaac was especially determined to keep the night going. Not ready for the fun to end, he invited Natalie’s friend group over for games and a movie. What was supposed to be just a casual hangout turned into an all-night conversation, lasting until the sun came up. From that night on, we were inseparable. As the months passed, we grew even closer, eventually quarantining together. Years later, we took the next big step and moved to Minneapolis, MN, for Natalie’s internship. Then, after five years of love, laughter, and countless memories, we took a trip to Cozumel, Mexico, where Isaac got down on one knee and asked Natalie to spend forever with him. The rest, as they say, is history
