Our love story is a long one, but I'll give it to you quick. We've known each other for over 15-years from our church, River of Life. Michael was my brother's best friend growing up, and I was the obnoxious little sister who was in love with Michael Harless (and now I'm an obnoxious 26-year old in love with Michael Harless). I remember one Sunday as a young girl, telling my friend very confidently that I was going to marry him one day, he just didn't know it yet. We started dating nearly 10-years ago, broke up at least a million times in the early years, dated other people, and came back to each other. The last 4-years have been full of victory, defeat, and growth. When I think of what it took to get to this point, I am so grateful of who and where we are now. Have you ever waited for something for so long and now that it's actually happening it feels like a dream? That's my life right now. I am still trying to process the fact that I get to marry my best friend. God did not deny our relationship, but He delayed it so that we could be the best versions of ourselves for each other. I get teary eyed thinking of how God has been orchestrating our story all along, how he can put someone in your life that pushes you to your limits, has a different perspective on life, and helps show you the parts of yourselves you don't like. Marriage is beautiful and sacred, and we are honored to start this part of our lives together along with our family and friends.
