Our 18th Anniversary 🤍

Our Love Story

We met in 2003, in a Walmart parking lot, after a few weeks of talking on the phone (yes, literally speaking, as texting and social media weren’t a thing)! I happened to be in my car, waiting for the rain to let up and Josh called. He heard I was at Walmart, and kept me on the phone while he drove around the parking lot looking for my car. This was our first face-to-face meeting. Within 6 months, we were engaged (also in the Walmart parking lot-same spot even!) and 7 months later, married on July 10, 2004. We started our lives together in East Grand Forks, and welcomed Reese in 2007, and Brityn in 2009. Josh’s business expanded in 2009, causing us to relocate to Minot. In 2015, Double P Delivery was sold. In 2016, we moved just West of Minot, to Burlington and enjoyed country living, while still being close to town. Around that time, Josh started working for Swenson RV & Marine. In December 2018, we moved to Bismarck for his promotion with Swensons. In April 2019, we learned that our third child was on the way. We were over the moon. We lived in a dream home and had a fulfilled life. In September 2019, just months before welcoming Maverik to The Proulx Crew, Josh started experiencing odd symptoms. His speech started diminishing, and he had trouble controlling his saliva. After months of doctoring and even a misdiagnosis, we heard the dreaded words, “I wish I had better news and I’m sorry to tell you…you have ALS. There is no treatment, no cure, and it’s 100% fatal.” We sat there, stunned and in disbelief. We had a teen, tween and an infant. How could this be possible?! The last 3 years have been the most difficult thing we could ever imagine going through. Josh is currently in a nursing facility, and is now a quadriplegic. We still pray for and have hope for healing, and we are eager for the opportunity for him to try a treatment that is in the works, that helped many in clinical trials. I’ve had a hard time sleeping lately, and one night, his bucket list came to mind. On it is renewing our vows. My mind started turning. I decided that with helping hands, I can cross this off his bucket list. We have had many people already jump on board and help us line things up, (including a STUNNING venue, photographer and a DJ-all generously donated 🙏🏻)! We hope you can join us for “round two”, as we reaffirm our vows while we celebrate with those who have loved, encouraged and supported us throughout our love story 🤍 Stormi & Josh

Attention Family!

We sent out physical invites to aunts/uncles/grandparents but didn’t have enough for cousins and other family members. Please know, you are all invited! In order to RSVP for your family, we would need everyones names to account for meals. If your name/family doesn’t come up when you try to RSVP, please text me so I can get you added! Thank you!
