Our venue and planned wedding activities are in the central city, so you won't need a car to celebrate with us in Portland! We have a good public transit system that includes a streetcar, train, and bus system. You can even get from the airport to the city center by taking the Max Red Line! Use the Trimet Trip Planner (https://trimet.org/#/planner) to see how you can get from point A to point B on public transit. Ride sharing apps like Lyft and Uber are plentiful, as are shared bikes and scooters in the downtown and surrounding areas. If you're staying downtown or in the Pearl District, our venue and other activities are walkable (both wedding hotels - the Hampton Inn and Hotel Monaco - are both walking distance). BUT, the Pacific Northwest is one of the most naturally beautiful places in the world . We can't recommend heading to the Gorge, Mt Hood, or the Oregon Coast highly enough! If you're here for a few days and love to get outside, you might want a car.
Yes! Kiddos and babies are totally welcome at all wedding activities. Just make sure to RSVP for each member of your family so we can plan for kid food and activities.
In early October, the average high is about 71 degrees and the low is about 50, with little chance of rain. So, we're anticipating beautiful weather for our wedding weekend! That being said, the Northwest is notorious for unpredictable and fast-changing weather so it's a good idea to pack in layers. Make sure to bring a jacket and warm shoes, just in case.
