We're getting married!

Let us start off by saying that we are beyond excited to have each and every one of you help celebrate our big day! We can’t wait to be with everyone in person on June 5th, 2021! Until then we hope this page provides a little more insight on what you can expect for our big day!

How We Met

October 20th, 2012

We met eight years ago in high school through our two best friends! I guess the saying "when you know, you know" holds true, because it only took a week of talking and a few dates before we made it official!

The Proposal

January 3rd, 2020

Nathan decided to propose on his birthday, so I had no idea what was coming for me. He had mentioned wanting to go to Chapel Hill to celebrate because it is one of our favorite towns (Go Heels!). Throughout the week I kept telling him there was going to be bad weather on Friday and that we could celebrate both in Greensboro on Friday and Chapel Hill another day, but he was determined to celebrate in Chapel Hill on his actual birthday. On Friday he picked me up and we drove to Chapel Hill. When we got there we walked over to Top of the Hill for a quick appetizer and as we were leaving he mentioned how he would love to get a photo in front of the Old Well. We started walking over to the Old Well and when we got there I turned around for a moment to put my purse down for the picture. When I turned back around Nathan was down on one knee, and cue the immediate happy tears for me. He mentioned how he knew from the moment he met me that I was his forever. Before he could ask "will you marry me" I'm pretty sure I said yes three times, but when he finally did ask and I said yes again. Little did I know his sister and her husband were taking pictures of the whole thing (shoutout to Jade and Patrick for the amazing photos)! After the proposal, Nathan and I walked to the Carolina Inn and on the way he mentioned that our families and close friends were there waiting for us. When we arrived the room was decorated with "YES" balloons and all the more decor and was filled with so many people that we love. It was such a special moment getting to celebrate with our closest friends and family- it was the absolute best night!
