You can easily get around Denver without renting a car unless you want to take a trip into the Rockies. The A line train will take you from the airport to Union Station. From there everything is walk-able or a 5-10 minute Uber ride. 

The Hampton Inn & Fairfield Inn below are in the Highlands neighborhood with shops, cafes, coffee etc!
