Semi-formal attire is encouraged. Weather is variable so be sure to layer up and bring an umbrella! There will be a bit of walking on grass so leave sharp heals at home (wedges, broad heels okay!).
Early June weather can be quite varied in this area. Last year it rained on June 8th with a high of 59 degrees Fahrenheit. This website (https://world-weather.info/forecast/usa/south_lake_tahoe/june-2024/) predicts it will be 64 and sunny. One thing is for sure - it won't be a scorcher. Please keep an eye on predictions because this wedding is pretty much entirely outdoors. Rain or shine, we will be braving whatever mother nature has to offer us.
Music needs to be off at the park at 9 pm and everyone will need to clear out by 10.
Drive, uber, lyft, bike or taxi. It's summertime in Tahoe so all of these will be options and it should not be hard to hail a ride. We encourage folks to stay at the KOA or to look into cabin rentals (VRBO, AirBnB) in Meyers so you can walk to your accommodations from the reception. The best gift anyone could give us is to not drink and drive on our big day!
We encourage parents to find childcare so they can relax and fully enjoy the day with us. However, we understand it can be difficult to arrange a babysitter so we will be sure to have kid-friendly activities available. If your kid(s) have a lot of energy they need to expel before (or during) the ceremony, there is a nearby playground that will fill that need well. The ceremony and reception sites are on a lake with no lifeguard and easy access to get into the water. Please be mindful of the need to carefully watch your children if you have concerns about that.
We've added the RSVP button to our website - please click on it to let us know if you will be attending! If you fill it out but find you are unable to RSVP for yourself please let us know. We may have a typo on your name. If you intended to bring a plus one but were not offered the opportunity, please let us know about your desires and we will keep you posted about availability as spots open up. Space at this venue is limited as is our food so please don't bring anyone extra that is not RSVP'd and confirmed to attend.
Because Meyers (and the greater Tahoe Basin) is an awesome, beautiful place and we're awesome, beautiful people. Seems like a no brainer, really.
Nope! For fun we'll go by "Stompwell" as a combo last name but legally we are staying as-is
