Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Amber Fonseca and Eric Stollenwerk
About Puerto Vallarta Puerto Vallarta is defined by the natural charm of its beaches embraced by the Sierra Madre mountains; the essence of its culture, gastronomy and traditions; and the warmth and hospitality of being welcomed like a friend. This magical destination has an authentic Mexican taste and spirit and is a personal favorite of ours!

Visit Zona Romantica and Watch a Drag Show

The Romantic Zone is a fun and lively place with lots of great restaurants, bars, and hotels, as well as being a very inclusive area with the LGBTQ+ community. Grab a table at Blue Chairs Resort or The Palm Cabaret and Bar and enjoy a fantastic drag show!

Walk the Malecon

The Malecon is the main boardwalk along the ocean in the center of Puerto Vallarta. There are various restaurants nearby, as well as many dance nightclubs and famous bars such as La Vaquita, Zoo Bar and Senor Frogs.

Kayaking or Snorkeling at Los Arcos National Park

No trip to Puerto Vallarta is complete without spending time at Los Arcos in Banderas Bay! Spanish for “the Arches,” Los Arcos is named for the large, gray granite islands protruding out of the ocean in arch formations. There are numerous tours that leave from the downtown marina, any of which offer opportunity to see the beautiful wildlife and biodiversity of the area.

Explore the Sierra Madre Mountains

Trips to the Sierra Madres offer many opportunities for exploration, whether you want to hike, zipline, go river rafting, speed through the jungle paths on an ATV, or explore hidden villages and cultural sites. Longer combination tours allow you to experience multiple activities in one day, and some tours visit Puerto Vallarta’s beaches en route to the mountains.

The Iguana Restaurant & Tequila Bar

If you want to enjoy a beautiful meal out while on vacation, then a visit to La Iguana restaurant is a must! The property overlooks Banderas Bay and serves up delicious contemporary Mexican cuisine in an elegant style.

Whale Watching

You’re in luck! The whale watching season in Puerto Vallarta runs from December to April with multiple tours in Banderas Bay running daily during this timeframe. These excursions typically last half a day – aside from humpback whales, you may also see dolphins and seals too!

Party!!!

Above all else, enjoy yourselves and have a great time exploring all that Puerto Vallarta has to offer. Be sure to save some energy for our wedding though!
