Maid of Honor
I met Megan in high school geometry class. At the time, she thought I was a snobby know-it-all and I thought her iPhone was super cool. I don't think either of us realized that we would create a friendship that would last a lifetime. I don't really remember how we started being friends and hanging out, but I do know our friendship evolved quickly. We took some awesome trips together, laughed together, and cried together. She is one of the few people I always stay in touch with and can always count on. Quite simply, she is my ride or die. I couldn't have picked a better Maid of Honor.
Best Man
I met Troy during Prep school basic training. We hated each other at first because we both thought the other was a jerk. Through a mutual friend, we were able to break the ice and ended up actually liking each other a lot. As we hung out more and more, we forged an amazing friendship that I'm certain will last a lifetime.
Bridesmaid
Jackie and I went through basic training and our first two years together at the Air force Academy. We have struggled immensely together through military life and through personal strife. We have also had some amazing adventures together. If there was ever an adventure around the corner, I could count on Jackie to brave it with me. Jackie is like a sister to me, we will always be family.
Groomsman
Tommy Newton was someone I could always come to for advice. He has always been there for me and been the most caring person. He would even help people that he didn't like, truly an amazing individual. I'm proud to call him my friend.
Bridesmaid
Micaela and I also went through basic training together and 2 of our first long, hard years at the Academy. We were roommates for a year and half of those. Micaela is an all around awesome person and we have had some really incredible times together. She is also one of those few people that I know will remain in my life for years to come.
Groomsman
Griffin and I first met during basic training, he tried to run with me, but he couldn't keep up. He called me a Sleeper Car because he thought I looked slow, but I was really fast. We were immediately good friends because he made me laugh. He got me from point A to point B by lending me his car so often that I even had a spare key. During our senior year of the Academy we played smash bros all the time. True friend right there.
Bridesman
Zack ALSO went through basic training and the first 2 years of the Academy with me (seeing a pattern here?). At first, he really kept to himself and just stayed in his room all the time. Jackie and I decided to invite him out to go camping with us at the Grand Canyon on a whim. Turn out, he is one of the funniest guys I know. He can make a joke in any situation to try and lighten the mood. He is also always game for an adventure. He is a great friend that anyone would be lucky to have!
Groomswoman
Aubree and I first met at one of her summer volleyball practices. Her and I have been through a lot. Aubree was initially one of the worst cooks I ever met. She decided to seal our friendship with her "special spaghetti." It was nasty. From that point on I knew we were best friends. I have been there through her rough break ups and I will have the honor of being her bridesman in November. PS. She went to culinary school and has come a long way since that special spaghetti, her food actually tastes good now!
Bridesmaid
Lauren and I finished out our remaining two years together at the Academy. Those were some hard times. We became especially close during our Senior year there. She is someone I can always count on to be there for me to vent to, but also someone I can count on to just talk to about anything. She is one of the sweetest people I have met, but is also very strong and loyal. I'm so lucky to have met her.
Groomsman
When I first met this kid, I thought he was going to be a cocky SOB. (I was right). But it turns out that he and I were alike in more ways than one. We have done some mischievous things in our past, like call the cops on people when they kicked us out of their party. To this day, we probably would still be doing those mischievous things, but adulthood slapped us both in the face. I'm proud to say he is still one of my best friends from high school.
Bridesmaid
Megan and I were childhood friends. We sat on the bus together every day on the ride to and from school. When I moved to Germany, we were both heartbroken. We promised to write all the time, but as things fall through, so did that. We kept in contact through social media over the years and FINALLY got to see each other again. It was like nothing changed. We picked things up right back where we left them. Still best of friends. That's how you know the friendship is real and everlasting.
Groomsman
Ryan and I went to the prep school together. Seeing this man's tired face after a hard pt session is one of the funniest things that you have ever seen in your life (I'll make him do it at the wedding if your really want to see it). He was my roommate throughout my first two years at the Air Force Academy. He was there at the beginning of mine and Brandy's relationship and has seen us go through all the stages that a relationship holds. I'm extremely honored that he will be there to see our lives together begin.
