Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Due to the nature of the limited space and destination wedding, we would love an RSVP by May 10th. If and when you know your flight information- please send along to Jessica at jessicajohns801@gmail.com We may be able to coordinate carpools/rideshares/train times with other guests.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We would love to have all of our loved ones and their loved ones, but with limited space available, the invitation is extended to the names listed on your invite.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kids! However, we also love being able to cut loose and give the parents a break. This will be an all adult celebration. We kindly request that you leave the children at home and kick off your heels to party with the grown ups.

Question

Where is this shindig taking place?

Answer

We are SO excited to be hosting our wedding ceremony and reception at a gorgeous home in Dobbs Ferry. As you may know, the original venue's village changed their laws, so we were no longer able to host the wedding at the Villa Nuits. After some tears, brainstorming, crowd sourcing and the help of the Villa owner- we have found a beautiful home in a nearby town that still has a pool, gorgeous landscape and still close to the Hudson and the train station. It is a private residence- not an airbnb or a VRBO. We are grateful that the gracious owners Renato and Lori have opened their home for our special day. We ask that our guests treat it with respect. https://villanuits.com/

Question

Are there any "House Rules" at the wedding venue?

Answer

I'm glad you asked! In fact, there are. With renting out the property there are a couple agreements we enter in our contract. 1) Quiet hours are after 9 pm outdoors. Pool hours are available until 8 pm. It is in a neighborhood and they want to be respectful of their neighbors as do we. 2) Be respectful of the home....that pretty much sums it up!

Question

What is the attire?

Answer

Every event has a slightly different dress code. For the ceremony/dinner we would like SEMI-FORMAL/COCKTAIL ATTIRE. Him: slacks, button up, jacket and tie optional. Her: cocktail dress, or dressy suit or jumpsuit. Jeans wouldn't be appropriate, and think a couple steps up from "church clothes" Welcome party: COCKTAIL Him: Dress shirt and pants (jeans are welcome). Jacket optional, ties aren't suggested. Her: cocktail dress, jumpsuit, dressy skirt, and top. Pastries by the Pool: swimsuits! Wear something you can swim in and a simple coverup. Casual poolside clothes. Keep in mind- many will be heading in to the city later that day, so bring a change of clothes you feel comfortable hitting the town to change in to. Walking/comfortable shoes are suggested. Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The actual ceremony will be held at 5:30 pm on Tuesday May 21, 2019. We would love our guests to arrive around 5 pm to mingle with each other and be in their seats by 5:20 pm.

Question

Are there other events happening?

Answer

Yes! We are planning a simple arrival party with light appetizers and bubbly Sunday May 19, 2019 at 7 pm. This will be a great chance to meet each other and exchange embarrassing anecdotes about the couple. Please refer to the "Schedule" tab for more details.
